Royal American Bank was founded in 1991 as an institution dedicated to serving privately owned and closely held businesses and their teams of executives, who were underserved by large financial centers and community banks alike. Since then, they have reached more than $400 million in assets. Royal has branches in Inverness, Elgin, Bensenville, Palatine, Bloomingdale and Naperville.

Building a site for all kinds of visitors with all kinds of questions

Royal American serves both business owners and individuals with personal accounts. Some site visitors know exactly which banking product they are looking for, while others only have general questions.

With over 200 banking products, Royal American needed a site that would suit the needs of both the experienced and novice users.

We provided Royal with an innovative website that met the needs of all of their clients. Their 200+ products can be accessed through three avenues:

  • Market segment (Business, Personal and Wealth Management)

  • "Select a product..." pull-down menus organized by product groupings for site visitors who know exactly what they need

  • "How can I..." pull-down menus based on helpful questions for visitors who are less familiar with banking products

Building a site that can be updated by Royal American Bank

We also developed a secure content management tool that allows Royal American to maintain their website. Through an intuitive control panel that uses a word-processor style interface to format and edit content, Royal can maintain:

  • Over 200 banking product description pages and their associated menus

  • Custom banner ad placement for every product page

  • News and Press Release updates maintained by their Marketing Director

  • Employment listings maintained by their HR department

  • A “Today’s Rates” section maintained by their Marketing Director
